Entering The Archive: The Story of Our Evolution

Every brand has a before.

Ours was Dr.Harness — the name on the label before the relaunch, the satin pouch before the canvas and leather, the standard cowhide before we moved to full-grain. We didn't retire any of it. We gave it a name: The Archive.

The Archive is the original Dr.Harness, made now exactly as it was made then — same workshops, same hands, same construction — and held permanently alongside the current collection. It is not a clearance. It is not running out. It is not going anywhere.

We'll tell you plainly how it differs. The leather is standard cowhide, firmer underhand than the supple full-grain of the current line. The edges are raw rather than painted and finished. The hardware is simpler. It arrives in the satin dust bag, not the box. Earlier materials, an earlier finish — and the same build underneath.

Because the build is where the brand lives. The stitching is the same. The construction is the same. A harness made to fit and stay fitted still does. A cuff made to hold still holds. What the relaunch changed was the surface. What it didn't touch was the reason anyone wore Dr.Harness in the first place.

So the Archive is where to begin. The same construction the brand was built on, in its original materials, at a lower price — leather around 30% below the current collection, lingerie around half. Those are standing prices, not markdowns. They reflect what the pieces are. They don't change.

Start here, and you're holding the original. Move to the current collection when you want the full-grain, the finished edge, the box. Same brand, same hands — only the materials and the price are different.

The originals, still made.
